Meet the Artist

Nicole was born and raised in the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria, and at 20 moved to Wollongong, NSW, to study Marine Science. After graduating, she worked in Banking until she became a full-time Mother of two children.

Nicole has always been interested in art and drawing, and won many school art competitions, however never pursued it as a career. At the beginning of 2017 she started dabbling with different media, and after watching a number of YouTube tutorials, decided colour pencils suited her lifestyle and limited space. By the end of 2017 she had sold a number of original artworks and with the encouragement of family and friends decided to work on a collection of prints.

Nicole's love of animals and particularly Australian Natives, is a great source of her inspiration. She describes her style as being a step back from realism as filtered through her own eyes. She takes meticulous care to create art that induces a calming a nurturing feel, that pays respect to the beauty around her.
